1. Who is responsible for your information

Your Sound Design is operated by Robert Moutrey, trading as Moutrey Creative Enterprises. Robert Moutrey is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

2. Enquiries and correspondence

If you use the enquiry form or contact Robert directly, we may collect your name, organisation, email address, project details, approximate dates and anything else you include in your message.

This information is used to respond, assess a potential project and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract and our legitimate interest in managing genuine business enquiries.

Enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. If the enquiry leads to work, relevant records may be kept longer where needed for the contract, accounting or legal obligations.

With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4, measurement IDG-DNVKTJTRFN. It helps us understand information such as pages visited, broad location, device and browser type, referring source and general interaction with the site.

Google Analytics is optional and does not load until you select Accept analytics. The lawful basis for this processing is consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.

User-level and event-level Analytics data is retained according to the property setting, which is either two or fourteen months. Aggregated reporting may remain available for longer.

5. Hosting, forms, fonts and embedded audio

Netlify hosts the website and processes enquiry-form submissions. Hosting providers may process technical request information, including IP address, browser information and timestamps, to deliver and secure the site. Google Workspace may be used to receive and respond to correspondence. Google Fonts supplies the site typefaces and receives ordinary technical request information when those files load.

Audio players are supplied by SoundCloud. A SoundCloud player is loaded only when you choose to play a featured track. SoundCloud may then receive technical information and use its own cookies or similar technologies under its privacy terms.

6. Sharing and international transfers

Information is shared only where needed with service providers that support website hosting, forms, email, analytics and embedded media, or where disclosure is required by law. Some providers operate outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards available under applicable data-protection law and the provider's data-processing terms.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information; restrict its use; receive a copy; and object to particular processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
